Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise is expected to miss the next 8-10 weeks. Parise has had lingering back issues dating back to last season. That pain has carried over into this season, limiting him to practice only. The procedure is called a discectomy and is to remove lumbar (low back) herniated disc material that is pressing on a nerve root or the spinal cord. Hopefully the 33-year-old can return soon. The Wild are currently missing three other forwards from the lineup.
