I am so sick and tired of all of this “will he play” or “won’t he play” bullshit that has been about Ezekiel Elliott this season. So….. as of right now, he is suspended until at least Dec 1st. He will miss four games against the Falcons, Eagles, Chargers, and Redskins. The Eagles and Redskins are divisional games, in the NFC East, which is a very tight division as we get closer to playoff time. Speaking of playoffs, the Cowboys are in the hunt for a wild-card berth, with the Eagles winning the NFC East.
Now that Zeke is out is there a chance the Cowboys can even get into the Wildcard? In the next four games, the optimistic approach would be that they can go 3-1. That is IF everyone steps up and plays their best football. I think they will go 2-2.
Let’s take a look back at the first six games of the season. The Cowboys went 3-3, with only 1 game against a divisional opponent, which they won against the Giants. During the six-game span, Zeke averaged 90 YPG. and scored 4 TDs. I think concerning the team, Zeke taking the six-game suspension at the start of the season, would have been the better option. That is unless he can only serve the next 4 games being suspended and have the remaining 2 games dropped.
Either way, I’m tired of hearing about Zeke and his suspension.
